At the Huduma centre in Mombasa 5,000 (ID) remain uncollected, according to Centre manager Harrison Yogo, who says they have been lying there for months.

Yogo now urges residents to visit the centre to pick their documents in order to ease acquiring government services.

‎Speaking in Mombasa during IEBC voter registration awareness, Yogo also added that they have established a desk at the centre for IEBC voters registration.

"We have a permanent IEBC desk at our Centre where the public can come and register anytime", he added.

Speaking at the same function, Mombasa  County Commissioner Mohamed Nur, said the government has resolved to take the documents to their owners.

"We will start looking for the owners by sending them messages to come pick their IDs or take it to them", he stated.
