ODM Dares Sifuna to Leave Party

ODM deputy party leader Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir has challenged politicians linked to Linda Mwananchi led by Senator Edwin Sifuna to leave the party if they are dissatisfied with ODM.

‎Speaking on Sunday 29th March,20206  during the commissioning of construction of Owino-Uhuru Road in Jomvu, Mombasa, Nassir who is also the Mombasa Governor, said ODM has always been a party of the people.

‎Nassir vowed that ODM owes allegiance to party leader Dr.  Oburu Odinga whom he said has the best interest of the party.



‎"Stop abusing and disrespecting Oburu Oginga. If majority have agreed Oburu to be our leader, you as a minority must abide", he added.

‎Nassir alleged that Sifuna has already formed another political party and that he should leave ODM if he doesn't respect the new leadership.

‎‎"Baba left us in ODM and that is where we will stick. Infact we will form the next government or be in one",stated Nassir.



‎He further announced that Oburu has been mandated to lead ODM in coalition talks. with UDA ahead of the 2027 polls.

The Linda Mwanachi faction held its rally today at Tononoka grounds in Mombasa town.

Government Urged to End Abductions Across the Country

Center for Litigation Trust (CFLT) has condemned the recent abduction of Standard group Editor Alex Kiprotich. The  independent Pan-African public interest law center emphasized the need for Journalists to be protected to be able to perform their duties.  The Trust's Executive Director Mr. Julius Ogogoh further demanded the government to issue a public statement rejecting forced dissapearance and abductions.
